Green Ridge families, we had an unexpected medical situation at school today that may have been upsetting for some elementary students. During the lunch shift for grades 1–4, a staff member began choking and required assistance. Thanks to the quick response of Mrs. Hammers performing the Heimlich, along with support from Ms. Kratzer, Mrs. Brock, Mrs. Gilbertson, Mrs. Dove, and Mrs. Young, the situation was handled safely and effectively.
We know our students care deeply about their teachers and classmates, so some children may have questions or concerns tonight. Please know the staff member is okay and was able to continue with the remainder of the school day.
