Ashlee Martin shot a 59 and finished tied for 3rd place Abbey Harding completed her first ever golf match hitting a lot quality golf shots. Coach Doane was proud of the girls and how they competed in their first golf match of the season. He is looking forward to building on this momentum and carrying it throughout the rest of the season. Girl’s golf season officially started this week and had a great first practice. Coach Doane stated, "We return two varsity starters and welcome a new member to our team. We are very fortunate for the Rec Center to allow us to use their facility and build our own driving range to utilize for practice. Our girls have worked hard throughout the summer on their game and I could notice from the first practice that this is going to be a good year for Green Ridge girls golf team. We are looking forward to the challenge of having a member of our girls program advance to the State Tournament for the 3rd year in a row! It’s going to take a lot of hard work but these girls are up to the challenge." Keep up the GR8 work, Lady Tigers!

What happened with Band Camp and Harmony Camp last week? Our music teacher, Ashley Bates, proudly gives us an update! "Our GR8 Tiger Band put in some hard work this week with marching basics, pep and marching tunes, and learning a few new scales. Band is ready for a good, active season!" stated Mrs. Bates. "Harmony had the pleasure of working with Mr.Kevin Holbert on our final day. Mr.Holbert gave us some great tips and tricks for technique that will prove to be helpful throughout our season and in the future. I think it’s safe to say the students are in love with the song choices for this year’s show," Mrs. Bates proclaimed. Good luck in the 2021-2022 school year, GR8 Music Department!
