Harmony and a few 7th and 8th graders traveled around the Sedalia area to various retirement communities and assisted living facilities to spread some Christmas Cheer! The students enjoyed the day singing and the residents loved having the students visit.

Congratulations to our November Students of the Month, Autumn Bohon and Mya Edington!
Mya is the definition of a model student. She is always on task and doing what is being asked of her. She doesn't hesitate to go the extra mile. Mya can often be found helping her peers who might be struggling to understand a math, or reading skill. She holds herself and her classmates to a high standard and does all that she can to reach those goals.
We talk about inclusion a lot, but Autumn demonstrates this on a daily basis. In the classroom she attempts to involve all of her classmates in discussion, she asks everyone at at different times what they got for an answer, or if they can explain something to her, or did they understand. In the hall and in the cafeteria she will often sit with students that no one else does, she talks to students that others ignore, she makes an effort to make everyone feel recognized.
Thanks for being GR8 examples for our district.

As we are in the first month of our girls basketball season, we wanted to give you a review of November and what December has in store for the Green Ridge Lady Tigers. Currently the girls are 3-3, with big wins vs. Kingsville, Bunceton with Prairie Home, and Chilhowee. We have faced a tough opening schedule and will finish this week out with 3 tough games before we move into Christmas break and the Stover Tournament. Coach Doane is very proud of how hard the girls have worked and improved each and every day. They are building the foundation for our program for years to come. The girls have continued to push each other and hold each other accountable and that is only going to help up later on in the season. I am looking forward to finishing out the year with some quality wins and continuing to gain experience for post-season play.
Keep supporting our Lady Tigers and come out for tonight's game vs. Leeton. JV boys start at 5:30pm and Varsity Girls will follow them.
We will finish the rest of the week on the road vs. a couple conference schools.
