From Miss Dailey: "We made our own camouflaged moths to hide around our classroom! Students chose an object or floor or wall to match their moths to. We then searched around the room to see how many we found!"

From Miss Dailey:
"On Friday, we tested what we knew about camouflaged animals by searching for hidden moths on trees around the room. The students then gathered data by counting how many moths they found."

From Mrs. Miller:
"My Child Development girls, (Maggie, Kayden, Beth & I) went to Mrs. Shoop's 2nd grade class so the girls could read a book to them and then do an activity with them. The 2nd graders had a really good time, and the high school girls did a very good job reading to the younger kids. Our activity was a "feelings donut" that the youngers got to color any way that they wanted. The older girls went around the room asking the students about the colors of their donuts and talked to them about how important feelings are."

From Mrs. Maxon: "The 8th grade art class is currently working on a project about symmetrical balance."

From Mrs. Schreck:
"In recognition of Patriots Day, Mrs. Schreck’s class read 'The Man Who Walked Between The Towers.' It is the true story of a tightrope performer who balanced on a tightrope between the twin towers. Before reading the story, students tried to balance their creatures on the “tightrope” in the classroom."

Our Tiger Band headed to Cole Camp on Thursday night to take part in the Cole Camp Fair Parade.
Each season is filled with many firsts for our upcoming JH students; First parade, first pep band appearance, first mass band. Seasons are also filled with some bittersweet "lasts". For our three band seniors that was Thursday night at the Cole Camp Parade.
"AJ Ransdell, Miley Hayes, and Josh Birch have been exceptional leaders in the band program at Green Ridge and are helping to shape the musicians currently in the program before they graduate in the spring," said Ashley Bates.
Don't miss the Green Ridge Tiger Band this season! Their next parade appearance will be Saturday, September 14th at the Green Ridge Fall Festival. Parade steps off at 10am.

The cross country team has really enjoyed being able to cross-train on the new equipment in the weight room!
