Congratulations to Lane Fox for being nominated and recognized for our outstanding senior student at this month’s Rotary Luncheon. Lane is a great role model for other GR8 students! Lane is involved in many activities including National Honor Society, math club, baseball, scholar bowl, archery, and a few others. His heaviest responsibilities are tied to FFA, where he serves as the GRHS FFA chapter president and as the Area 8 regional sentinel. Following graduation, Lane plans on attending the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he will pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Following college, he would like to apply for an Aerospace Engineering job at NASA, SpaceX, or Boeing. We are all proud of Lane and his accomplishments so far, and will support him as he pursues higher goals in his life. Congratulations again Lane Fox!!!

Mrs. Thompson has modeled several reading skills and strategies for her students this month. She is gradually releasing the responsibility to the students as they gain confidence to complete these tasks independently. Her students have been practicing reading the questions before reading their passages. They have learned to split their Chromebook screen, focus on one line of text at a time, and highlight text.

Mrs. Piscopo's class enjoyed a morning at the Big Bear Pumpkin Patch last week. Some of the activities included riding the zipline, jumping in the bounce house, a hay ride, playing bubbles, and sliding into the corn pit. They also got to pick out their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Terrific Tiger Teachers-October
Congratulations to Evee Porter for placing a very impressive 37th in the State among 209 Class 1 & 2 runners at the Middle School Cross Country Championship today. The field was large and Evee finished near the top! 👏 Lily Viebrock ran her heart out too on this fun, but challenging, course at Lucas Oil Speedway. This closes the chapter on both Evee and Lily's Jr. High cross country careers. We're excited to see what high school has in store for both of them. Keep running Tigers!
