Boys Basketball finished a busy week with a loss to Windsor Friday night 71-49. The Tigers played hard, but Windsor’s athleticism caused the Tigers issues. The Tigers venture to Lincoln tonight with a start time of 5:00 pm. JV boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys will play. Lincoln will be holding their Senior recognition between the JV and Girls contest. The Boys will be traveling to Warsaw for a Boys only night on Thursday starting at 6:00, and Boys and Girls will finish the regular season at home against Otterville on Friday.
Mrs. Hilt's third graders learned about poetry this week. They were put in to groups and became experts on types of poetry. Then they taught that type to the other students in class.
2021 Academic All State Volleyball. We are excited that our volleyball players are excelling in the classroom as well as on the court! Congratulations to Kelsey Buxton, Molli Mahalovich, Matti Mergen, and Zakiyah Morse for being awarded Academic All-State for the 2021 Volleyball season. Athlete's must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.6 from their entire career and play in 75% of the current season's varsity matches.
Third graders in Miss Oliver's class have been reading poetry all week. Today students got into groups to research different types of poems. They made a poster as a group, then used the poster to teach the rest of the class about that type of poetry.

Boys basketball lost last night in Cole Camp 59-41. The Tigers played with a lot of heart and effort, but fell short. Kam Hoos led with 15, while Igor chipped in 8. The Tigers are back on the floor this evening, in Green Ridge, against Sacred Heart. 2 quarters of JV boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys, with JV starting at 5:30.

The show was displayed this past week at SFCC during the conference basketball tournament. GREEN RIDGE FBLA MEMBERS QUALIFY FOR STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE Green Ridge, MO—February 1, 2022—Twenty-Four members of the Green Ridge Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently competed in the Missouri FBLA District 10 Leadership Conference held in Warrensburg, MO at the University of Central Missouri. Twenty-eight school districts across central Missouri represented by over 500 students and advisors gathered to learn, compete and celebrate at the first face-to-face District Conference in two years. Members competed in over sixty events. The top performers in each event appeared on stage and were awarded medals. High School Basketball will be traveling to Cole Camp tonight for 2 quarters jv boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys contests. Boys basketball finished the Kaysinger Conference Tournament with a win over Otterville 55-46. The Tigers were led by Weston Crawford (16), Kam Hoos (15), and Igor Taushanzhi (9). The boys have a busy week ahead at Cole Camp Tuesday, home against Sacred Heart on Wednesday, and courtwarming against Windsor on Friday. Good luck Tigers!

Sorry to announce that the Smith Cotton Show Choir Competition has been cancelled for Saturday, February 5th. Harmony will not be traveling this weekend. Next time out will be Saturday, February 19th at Nevada.
