HS Basketball will be at home tonight battling the Smithton Tigers. JV boys will start the evening with two quarters, at 5:30, followed by the Varsity girls. The Jr. High boys Basketball team improved to 5-0 in regular season conference play with an impressive 40-22 win against Smithton tonight. Wyatt Crawford led the scoring with a season-high 16 points followed by Jack Hoos with 10 points. Just about everyone got involved in the scoring tonight including Max Tylar, Mason Moore, Reid Hagedorn, Jett Bugg, Gage Devorss, and Logan Harrison. What a GR8 team effort tonight boys! Next up is Windsor Thursday night. 🐅🏀

The Jr. High Boys Basketball team improved to 4-0 in regular season conference play with a dominating 37-10 win against the Stover Bulldogs. Levi Lentz led the scoring with 11 points with Max Tylar right behind him with 9 points. Wyatt Crawford and Jack Hoos teamed up on defense to shut down Stover's best player holding him to 0 points on the night.

Athletic update for 1/5/23: Girls Varsity Basketball will be playing Versailles in the Stover Tournament, in the High School Gym, starting at 6:00 p.m. The JH Girls and Boys Teams will be playing Stover, in Green Ridge, tonight as well. Order of the contests will be "A" girls, "A" boys, "B" boys, with a start time of 5:30. Good luck Tigers!

Varsity Boys Basketball won last night in the Stover Tournament against the Holden Eagles 50-47. The Tigers played their best overall game of the year. Weston Crawford led scoring with 17, followed by Lucas Mason with 11, and Kamryn Hoos with 9. Mark Pavlioglo made two free throws down the stretch to secure the win. Logan Dove and Mark played great defense against Holden's best player and forced the Eagles into several turnovers. The Tigers will now play in the Consolation game on Saturday, in Stover, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dome. The Tigers will be playing the home team Bulldogs. Good Luck Tigers!

The Junior High Boy's Basketball team went into rival Sacred Heart last night and pulled out a 26-22 win. Wyatt Crawford lead all scorers with 10 points followed closely by Jett Bugg with 9 points. The Jr. High Tigers improve to 3-0 in regular season play, great job boys!

Happy New Year Tigers! Here's the athletic update over break and into this week. Varsity Boys beat Hardin-Central at SFCC 40-29 on 12/28. The Tigers were led in scoring by Logan Dove and Lucas Mason, both with 14. Kamryn Hoos had most the the ball handling duties, and did a nice job keeping the turnovers down. The rest of the Tigers did a nice job coming off the bench to add a spark in crucial times. The Varsity Boys travel to Stover tonight to play Eugene in the first round of the Stover Tournament at 6:00 p.m. in the old high school gym. Varsity Girls play tomorrow in the Stover tournament against Stover, starting at 6:00 p.m. JH will travel to Sacred Heart tomorrow with the order being "A" girls, "A" boys, "B" boys and will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Good Luck Tigers!

HS basketball games for tonight in Concordia have been cancelled. Illness and injuries have both schools lacking student athletes. The rescheduled date and times will be posted when a decision has been made. JH basketball will be playing at LaMonte tonight. Girls "A" will start at 5:00 p.m. Boys "A" will follow the Girls, and a full Boys "B" game (running clock with 5 minute half-time) will follow the Boys "A" game. Good Luck Tigers!

Varsity Boys Basketball travel to Otterville tonight for a contest starting at 5:30. Varsity game will start at 5:30, unlike other days JV might play after the varsity. Both schools are battling illness, so JV is dependent on health. Varsity Girls do not play tonight, as Otterville girls are playing with Sacred Heart this year. JH Basketball opens their season up tomorrow at the Stover Tournament. Girls play in the dome at 5:00, followed by the boys at 6:00.

Our Juniors participated in a presentation on Missouri Girls State and Missouri Boys State today. They learned a lot about the program and the numerous scholarships and other opportunities that are associated with attending. If interested, students should apply at http://www.missourigirlsstate.org/ or https://www.moboysstate.org/ Applications for early acceptance should be completed by January 15! Boys and Girls State are offered to students at no cost to them. There are sponsors willing to fund the participation fees.

Reminder- Tuesday Dec 5th (tomorrow) is our Winter Concert at 6pm. All family & friends are invited to attend. Performer attire is nice clothes and/or fun holiday gear. All 7-12th students (in band, Harmony, or JH/HS Choir) must be at school and ready no later than 5:45pm.

Way to play Tigers! Green Ridge Marching Band traveled down the road tonight for the Christmas Parade. This was the final parade of the season and they sounded fantastic! Nice job representing Green Ridge! You will be able to hear them perform one more time Tuesday night at 6:00pm for the Christmas Concert at Green Ridge High School in the Little Gym.

Green Ridge played a talented Leeton team last a night and lost 65-39. Lucas Mason led the Tigers in scoring with 7. Wyatt Brosch and Jacob Tylar chipped in 5 apiece. The Tigers are back in action this evening in Bunceton. Varsity Girls will tip off at 6:00 pm with the Varsity Boys to follow.
