
HS Boys Basketball Round up for this week. The Tigers beat Ballard on Monday night, being up as much as 40 at one point in the 3rd quarter. The Tigers were led in scoring by Weston Crawford (20) and Mark Pavlioglo (16). The Tigers ended up winning 63-41. The Rivas Twins have shown much improvement over the year, and have done a nice job stepping into varsity games. Tuesday night the Tigers played the 2nd place team in the Kaysinger, the Tipton Cardinals. The Cardinals had a balanced attack with six of their team scoring in double digits. The Tigers played hard, but struggled with help defense and ultimately lost the contest 78-42. The Tigers were again led in scoring by Weston (10) and Logan Dove (9). The Tigers are next in action on Friday with the play-in games for the Kaysinger Conference Tournament. We will be playing at SFCC, at 8:00 p.m., against Otterville.

HS Basketball will be playing Tipton tonight at Home. JV boys will play 2 quarters, starting at 5:30 p.m. Varsity girls and varsity boys will follow the JV. Good luck Tigers!

The Kaysinger Conference Tournament starts on Friday. The Green Ridge girls play against Windsor at Windsor at 6 p.m., and the Green Ridge boys play against Otterville at SFCC at 8 p.m. The cost is $5.00 per adult (18 years and above), and all students are free. Let's support our GR8 TIGERS!

HS Basketball early week update. The Tigers pulled out a nice win Monday night against Warsaw 47-41. It was a tightly contested game with the lead changing hands several times in the second half. The Tigers found themselves down 5 with a little more than 4 minutes left to go in the game, but came back with a three from Weston Crawford and another from Abrahm Rivas to take the lead. The Tigers were led in scoring by Weston with 24 and Kamryn Hoos with 9. Last night the Tigers met a talented Sacred Heart team in Sedalia. The Tigers played well for the first three quarters and then ran out of gas. Kamryn led our scoring with 13 followed by Weston with 10. Jacob Tylar pitched in 6 as well. The Tigers are back in action on Friday with a varsity only night with girls against Stover in Green Ridge.

FAFSA and Scholarship award prize drawing
There will be a gift card prize drawing for the seniors who provide their Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA completion to Mrs. Benitz or Ms. Fox. The FAFSA deadline is 2-1-23, please provide the SAR to Mrs. Benitz or Ms. Fox by this date to be entered in the prize drawing.
There will be an additional prize drawing with students for submitting their scholarship award letter to Mrs. Benitz or Ms. Fox as well.


Boys Jr high basketball moves to 2-0 in the Lincoln tournament after their wins over Otterville and Lincoln. The boys will play in the championship game Saturday at 315 against rival Windsor. Please come out and support your Jr high boys!🐅🏀

HS boys basketball play Warsaw tonight at home. The Tigers are without two players due to injury, so it will be 2 quarters of JV then the Varsity game. JV starts at 6:00 pm. Varsity girls will return to action tomorrow night against Sacred Heart, with the boys, in Sedalia. Good Luck Tigers!

Green Ridge Harmony traveled to Blue Valley High School for their first competition of the season at the Tiger Takedown.
“Harmony has worked hard this week to polish the show and prepare for the competition”, said Director, Ashley Bates. “They went out a really put on a show. All I ask is they give their best and today it paid off”.
Harmony took first place in the 1A-2A division with Raul Ramirez and Sydney Gordon receiving recognition for Best Performers and Weston Crawford receiving Honorable Mention.
Harmony’s next competition will be Saturday, February 4th at Smith-Cotton’s ShowMe Classic. They will perform at 8am in the Heckart Performing Arts Center.

The Green Ridge students of the month for December are Alexas Stevens and Kaylee Burkhart!
Alexas consistently maintains As and Bs while going to CTC and working at Dairy Queen all weekend. When she is in the classroom she helps others that need assistance. Alexas uses her strategies for success to overcome all obstacles, and always puts forth her best effort.
Kaylee Burkhart displays characteristics of a kind, respectful, and safe student. She uses kind words to everyone, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She follows all the rules, and often exceeds our expectations no matter what is asked of her.
